The challenge
Build a trustworthy local jobs marketplace for a region where most users are on low-end Android phones and intermittent connections, in Bengali first, with no existing product to build on.
Approach
- Bengali-first, installable PWA with offline support and a strict performance budget for low-end devices.
- Full-stack architecture: React 19 + TanStack Router/Query front-end, Node.js + Express + Prisma + PostgreSQL backend.
- Real-time messaging with Socket.IO and verified profiles to build trust between strangers.
- Product analytics with PostHog; CI/CD, Nginx and PM2 provisioned on a Contabo VPS from scratch.
The umbrella platform Regent Next points to as proof of full-stack, production capability. Jobs is the first product under it.
